Hello everyone! For all the Command & Conquer fans out there, there is a present for you. Or... not exactly a present. It is more like a tribute. If you have been watching the news about the latest games that are under development and paid attention to the last Gamescom edition, you might have heard of Tempest Rising. It is a game from THQ Nordic that has a lot of inspiration from C&C and other real-time strategy games. Perhaps, inspiration is a weak word here because there are several members of the Command & Conquer community actually working on this game or helping it somewhat and at least 3 of them visit this site and post here occasionally. If you don't know about it, here are some videos:
The game will feature three asymmetric factions: Global Defense... Forces, the Tempest Dynasty, and a yet-to-be-revealed third faction (could be some beings from the center of the Earth? That's just a random guess). There will be two playable campaigns with movies and interactive briefings. There will also be a competitive multiplayer scene with, possibly, cooperative campaigns. It will also possibly feature a map editor, and it will possibly have modding support. Since the game will be released in 2023, there isn't much being spoiled about it yet.
