Update 2.9 is here and brings with it many new improvements to gameplay, making for more exciting battles with the addition of the new EPIC class units!

Veteran Upgrades to base defenses
Base defenses may now be promoted to veteran once they defeat a certain cost of enemies. I was concerned about the possible balance issues caused by this, so their over-effectiveness will not be as great as when a unit becomes promoted. They receive a slight visual upgrade when promoted and can now self-repair, though at a slower rate than the manual repair structure.

Multiplayer / Skirmish
There have been some major changes to custom matches and fighting against AI with the addition of multiple factory bonus options, tree targeting, and a more balanced AI with the option of Hardcore Mode. The Harcore AI option, when selected, will test the player with a challenging AI that will attack you with greater force and speed than ever before, challenge at your own risk.

Other Features:
There are many other changes, such as new laser effects, rebalanced units, new skirmish maps, such as the remaking of the classic Casey's Canyon, and EMP effects, now damage targets that are affected. All these new changes will ensure an enjoyable experience for both new and veteran players!
