We are once again participating in the fantastic Tiberian Sun Anniversary event celebrating the anniversary of the very game that inspired so many of us and the community to come together again. I apologize for the late notice. The event is already in progress, and we will be doing a small showcase on the 21st of August at 2 PM +0 GMT. Our Showcase is a small, focused one this year, but we've come up with some new things to show. Most of the team is still focused on the optimization work, and we've hit a number of roadblocks this year due to real-life problems in various members' lives, which was not ideal. We also didn't want to bring too much work away from optimizing, as that is the key milestone to complete to move the project forward to release.
We've been working hard on the optimized version (which is, at this point, a complete rebuild of the project code). It has come a long way, but we felt for this showcase, the best gameplay can still be seen in the unoptimized version at the moment, so we've put together a small showcase on some things we've been cooking up. But we're really looking forward to showing you all the latest in the optimized version, the performance improvements, and doing a before and after demonstration, but we're just short of that for this event, so something to look forward to in a future update.

This is a small event this year. We don't want to overhype things while we're deep in development on optimizing what we had to get it ready for release, but we didn't want to leave you without an update because we have noted we've been quiet for far too long, which I truly am sorry for the radio silence.
